Location: Multiple locations opening across London

Commitment: Freelance, 3-5 sessions per week initially

Session Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Session fee: £60-80 per class after the completion of training.

About Contrast

Contrast is the first 100% class-based sauna and cold plunge studio in the UK.

Inspired by the Danish practice of Saunagus, a Contrast Class blends heat, aromatherapy, ice baths, breathwork, and music for deep relaxation and resilience.

Over three rounds in 20-40 person saunas, the Contrast Master builds the heat and music, adding water and essential oils while directing heat waves with a towel and fan. Participants focus on their breathing and immerse themselves in the music.

Co-founded by Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneurs Ben Wintour (founder of Steel Warriors, with 6 gym builds and thousands of users across London) and Connor Murphy (entrepreneur and former captain of Danish Lacrosse), Contrast is redefining how people engage with heat and cold exposure through expertly facilitated sessions.

What a Contrast Session Entails

Each session includes:

  • Music-driven atmosphere – Sessions are curated to a carefully selected playlist that enhances the energy and rhythm of the experience.

  • Three sauna rounds – The Contrast Master progressively builds water to the stove to increase the heat, challenging participants to embrace intensity while staying present.

  • Guided breathwork – Each round incorporates focused breathing techniques to deepen endurance and relaxation.

  • Aromatherapy oils – High-quality essential oils are used to enhance relaxation and invigoration.

  • Towel and fan techniques – Traditional Saunagus methods circulate heat effectively, intensifying the sensory experience.

  • Cold plunge intervals – After each sauna round, participants take an ice-cold plunge, stimulating circulation and mental resilience.

Participants leave each session feeling mentally clear, physically reset, and deeply invigorated.

The Role

We are looking for Contrast Masters – passionate, confident facilitators who can guide participants through a structured sauna and cold plunge experience. You will be responsible for delivering immersive and energising sessions that leave members feeling recharged. 

*No past experience running sauna or plunge classes is required. We will offer training to all Contrast Masters.

As a Contrast Master, you’ll lead up to 5 sessions per week, with a minimum commitment of 3 sessions per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead immersive Contrast sessions, guiding participants through heat and cold exposure

  • Create a welcoming and safe environment, ensuring an exceptional experience for all attendees

  • Introduce breathwork and mindfulness techniques to enhance focus and endurance

  • Engage with the Contrast Club community, fostering a strong and supportive culture

  • Actively promote your sessions on social media to attract new participants and build awareness

Who we’re looking for

We’re Looking For individuals who:

  • Are passionate about sauna, cold exposure, and breathwork

  • Are confident communicators who can lead groups and create a welcoming atmosphere

  • Have experience in facilitation, coaching, fitness, breathwork, or wellness practices (preferred but not essential)

  • Willing to learn more about Sauna and Plunge and meet an exceptional standard of service delivery

  • Are reliable, highly punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality sessions

  • Are freelancers looking for a flexible but structured opportunity

  • Are willing to be an ambassador for Contrast Club, sharing their involvement and driving attendance to their classes through engaging social media content
