A Contrast Class is Contrast Club’s core guided experience — a 75-minute session inspired by the Danish practice of Saunagus, blending heat, aromatherapy, ice baths, breathwork, and music for deep relaxation and resilience.
Over three sauna rounds (12–15 minutes each), the Contrast Master gradually builds the heat and intensifies the experience, adding water infused with essential oils while directing heat waves using a towel and fan. You’ll focus on your breathing, immerse yourself in the music, and embrace the moment.
Between rounds, there’s time to cool down, hydrate, and take an optional cold plunge after each round — encouraged but always your choice.
Contrast Classes are designed to leave you grounded, clear, and energised — a perfectly balanced reset for body and mind.

Contrast therapy—alternating between heat and cold—offers a range of physical and mental benefits, including:
Improved circulation – Heat expands blood vessels, while cold constricts them, promoting better blood flow.
Faster muscle recovery – Helps reduce inflammation, soreness, and fatigue.
Enhanced resilience & stress reduction – Strengthens the nervous system and builds mental toughness.
Boosted immune function – Stimulates the body’s natural defenses.
Better sleep – Helps regulate the nervous system for deeper rest.
Increased energy & mood – Releases endorphins and improves overall well-being.
By combining sauna, cold plunge, breathwork, and guided relaxation, Contrast Therapy helps optimize both body and mind.
-
Sessions are 75 minutes long. We advise you arrive at least 15 minutes before your session begins.
-
Yes. While we recommend taking a cold plunge to get the most out of Contrast Therapy, it is entirely optional. You can always opt for a cold shower instead if you prefer.

Our saunas typically range from 80°C to 100°C.
This heat range gently elevates your heart rate and stimulates circulation, similar to the effects of light cardio exercise. It encourages deep sweating, which helps flush out toxins and supports your body’s natural detoxification processes. At this temperature, your body also activates heat shock proteins—molecules that promote cellular repair, reduce inflammation, and boost resilience. The warmth relaxes muscles, eases tension, and promotes the release of endorphins, leaving you feeling both physically restored and mentally calm.
Our cold plunges vary between 4°C and 11°C.
Cold immersion at these temperatures triggers a natural, invigorating response in the body. Blood vessels constrict, reducing inflammation and muscle soreness, while a rush of norepinephrine and dopamine helps sharpen focus and elevate mood. Over time, repeated exposure strengthens the immune system and supports metabolic health by activating brown fat and improving thermoregulation. It’s a bracing yet deeply refreshing practice that builds mental resilience and leaves you feeling clear-headed and energised.

Most people can safely enjoy sauna and cold plunge, but those with heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, pregnancy, respiratory issues, or neurological conditions should consult a doctor first. If you feel unwell, exit immediately. Stay hydrated, start with short exposures, and listen to your body. If unsure, check with your healthcare provider.
Unfortunately, at this stage, our saunas and plunges do not allow for wheelchair access. However, we are committed to making the Contrast experience as inclusive as possible. If you have any ideas or suggestions on how we can improve accessibility, we’d love to hear from you.

It depends on your body's tolerance and overall health. Many people find it beneficial to participate several times a week, but it's important to listen to your body and adjust the frequency accordingly.
