About Contrast
Contrast is the first 100% instructor-led sauna and cold plunge studio in the UK.
Inspired by the Danish practice of Saunagus, a Contrast Class blends heat, aromatherapy, ice baths, breathwork, and music for deep relaxation and resilience.
Co-founded by Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneurs Ben Wintour (founder of Steel Warriors, with 6 gym builds and thousands of users across London) and Connor Murphy (entrepreneur and former captain of Danish Lacrosse), Contrast is redefining how people engage with heat and cold exposure through expertly facilitated sessions.
The Role
The Front of House (FOH) Team Member is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a warm, welcoming, and seamless experience. This role combines hospitality, customer care, operational support, and a passion for wellness. The FOH Team Member ensures the studio runs smoothly, guests feel supported, and all spaces remain clean, safe, and inviting.

Committed to providing consistent outstanding guest care.
Reliable: Able to show up on time, on form and looking presentable.
Comfort working around heat, cold, humidity, and water environments.
Experience in hospitality, wellness, fitness studios, boutique hotels, spas, or similar environments.
Interest in sauna culture, cold therapy, and wellbeing.
First Aid or CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Enjoys supporting others and working as part of a team.
Positive can-do attitude with a proactive, hands-on approach.
Comfortable working independently during quieter studio hours.
Experience using Xplor Mariana Tek booking software (preferred)
What You’ll Do
Greet all guests warmly and create a friendly, inclusive environment.
Pre-prepare to remember guest’s faces and greet them.
Guide guests through check-in and check-out processes with clarity and positivity.
Provide orientation for new visitors (amenities, safety guidelines, session flow, etiquette).
Answer questions about sauna, cold plunge, contrast therapy, memberships, and pricing.
Support guests throughout their visit, ensuring they feel comfortable and confident.
Manage bookings, cancellations, and schedule adjustments via the studio’s booking software.
Prepare sauna and plunge rooms before each session (towels, water, aromatherapy, temperature checks).
Keep the studio clean, stocked, and organised, including changing rooms, bathrooms and lounge spaces.
Greet guests between sauna rounds and sell product (electrolights, coffees, etc)
Manage shop sales.
Maintain merchandise displays and restock retail items as needed.
Maintain water hygiene, temperature settings, and general equipment checks according to studio standards (training provided).
Promote memberships, class packs, and special offers in a friendly, non-pushy way.
Process payments (for sessions, retail items, and class packs/memberships).
Follow studio protocols for cleanliness, sanitation, and guest safety.
Support emergency or incident procedures if required (training will be provided).
